Parents Save Money Avoiding Rental Fees by Buying Musical Instruments
Medford, OR (PRWEB) August 28, 2010 – Musician’s Friend, music gear retailer, recently compared costs of renting versus buying musical instruments and found that people usually saved more money purchasing their back-to-school instruments outright and were more satisfied overall with the instrument’s quality. Several factors led to this conclusion.
1. The compromised condition of the rented musical instrument. Rental companies often won’t disclose how many times the instrument has been rented and when rental instruments are well used, the sound often suffers. Since buying musical instruments ensure the item is in mint condition, the tone is better.
2. The expense of a rental instrument is typically more than a new musical instrument. If a student rents an instrument for per month over a three-year rental period, he or she pays ,800 whereas a number of student musical instruments are available for less than 0. Plus, some companies will buy back used instruments for any reason through programs like Trade In Cash Out Program should a student give up playing.

Acting Agencies in Los Angeles, CA (Teen Acting) 10 Points! Please Comment?
Question by : Acting agencies in Los Angeles, CA (teen acting) 10 points! Please comment?
So i’ve been in theatre since i was 3 years old, and I’m 18 now. And I’ve always done it off and on, and this will be my 10th musical. I’m in Legally Blonde right now (a community theatre version), and I have a supporting role and a chorus part as of right now. And my other shows I’ve always gotten a supporting or a chorus part with a vocal solo. And then when I was 12 I got cast as a lead in a local t.v show, and then I went to summer camp and did an improv class and scene study class with Maggie Murphy & Andy Block who were my teachers their who both said I should look into getting an agent. But they didn’t’ refer me to one which I found odd, but Andy said I had a natural way of acting. And I did two films with him (indie though…) but still it’s something right? Do those count? I was the lead in both of his. And I really want to act, I’ve been wanting this since I was 5 years old. And I’ve also been taking every type of acting class you can think of, improv, scene study, monologue study etc.. (you know the works). I can also play violin, I’m learning piano, and I’m also learning guitar at the moment too. Do you think i have enough experience to get a commercial agent? Which one’s should I look into? Also at the end of the workshop with Maggie at camp, she pulled me aside and I was the only one she did that to, she said I was excellent. But is this something I should take more seriously because I really want to. Maggie is also a casting director and a producer. What do you think, do you think it’s a start to a career? I really want some opinions. Also what agencies should I look into, my goal is to get into Osbrink, CESD, or Coast to Coast. But I’m also looking into Abrams Artists and would you still consider me a “beginner” even though I have some film experience even if it’s not much? Because I have been in one local t.v show; where I was the lead.

Violin Care
Violin Care
Question of the day: Do you think children should be allowed to have any knd of hairstyle they want? Why? PS: This is for those who are new to the violin. If you are a professional violinist, this would not be much help. PPS: Also, after using a violin, take off the shoulder rest, loosen the bow (By turning the knob towards you and holding it i your RIGHT hand) and pack it up. I’ll make another video for THAT if requested.
