What should i do to prepare myself for first time violin lessons?

I barely know anything about music but i am starting violin lessons next thursday. i want to know some basic things i should go over to prepare myself. Any thing is helpful!!! :)

    Make sure you have any books the teacher may have requested, that your instrument is in good working order, the bow is usable. And be on time.

    Make sure you have a functioning violin. Be prepared to commit to a practice regime and start reviewing the parts of your instrument. Other than that, I wouldn’t do much because your teacher probably wants to teach you the other stuff :) . Beginners are so much fun…I hate when other people or things ruin them – lol. Good luck!

    Go over the treble clef and make sure you know what the notes are. If possible find them on the violin (the open strings from bottom to top are GDAE).

    If you have long hair, tie it back or put it up. Take off any rings or bracelets. Have a tape recorder if possible. Bring a pencil and a notebook.
