Maybe with three months of non-stop training. Maybe.

I think it’s possible if you really put your mind to it. Since you already have a music background, it’ll be easier to make the switch. But if you can, you might want private lessons. And if you practice one hour every day, I don’t see why you couldn’t make the jump to violin. In three months you could become an okay player, and in about a year you could be really really good if you stuck to your schedule that you just laid out.
maybe everybody is different depends on if you are cheering yourself or something like at least you should try
When I was 7yrs old I was given a small piano accordian as a Xmas present. With it came 6 private lessons. I had never had a music lesson in my life before but I really wanted to learn how to play the accordian. In three weeks the music teacher had me playing that accordian with both hands. If I could do that in three weeks without any previous music experience, you with all the music experience that you have had, should be able to do want you want to do over the summer break without any trouble at all.
Go for it and Good Luck.
Very well? Most likely not. But yes, that will get you up to high school level if you’re reasonably talented. Because high school violin students don’t actually practice. I know – I was there. It was a different instrument, but I took up the violin later and had the same problem.
If you are going to spend only one hour a day practicing, every day consistently, then make sure that hour is well-spent. You need to take things slowly and focus. A lot of the violin is simply playing something over and over again until it is under your fingers. Can you play it ten times in a row perfectly? If you can’t, then you have to keep practicing. I’m sure though, that if you get really into it and have a good teacher, you’ll be able to play in a high school orchestra. Once you get back to school and they pass out the sheet music for the semester, grab the recordings and learn how to play the pieces. I think you’ll be satisfied with what you come up with. Lastly, read up on the violin. The more you know, the more you can apply to your playing. Good luck!
