The violin was the first instument i took up then i started piano. It took me 3 weeks before i could use the bow (i have a 1/2 hour a lesson every week) I took group lessons and i still take them i find them much more enjoyable. So far it's been about 6years. It was around 4 or 5 months before i felt comfortable using it. I started when i was 6 years old. I do consider my self good and i'd rate myself 7 out of ten (i'm probably just being modest) they only advice i would give you is when you first start practise as much as you can then about a year later it'll become easier. Although now i only practise when i feel like it

It isn’t that hard to learn although it might hurt your arms and wrists at first but you get used to it. You could also get a shoulder rest to make playing it more comfortable.

- No it was not hard to learn.
-The violin was the first instrument Iplayed.
-I did not know anything about music.
- It took me about 2months to learn
-I took group lessons.
- 8 years have passed since my fiest lesson.
-I felt comfortable about a month later.
-I started playing at the age of 6.
- I’m pretty good.
- i give myself a 7.
- I would tell you to learn how to read music before you learn violin. I played handbells maybe 4 times, and took piano for about 6 months. That's it. I have always been around music, so it was pretty easy to learn. It took me a few months to really learn to play. I took it in school. I started in 4th grade, stopped at the end of 7th grade, but still play occasionally. I felt comfortable after a year, but maybe before. I am relatively okay, but out of practice. 6.7 out of 10 Just keep at it and practice ALOT. Good luck!

It was only hard in the very beginning, but some of the more advanced stuff took awhile, even after I got going.
I played handbells maybe 4 times, and took piano for about 6 months. I play guitar, so it provided me with a little advantage over people that have never played any instrument of that type before. In my own personal experience, it took me a couple of weeks to get the hang of it. I'm not saying I was great, but I could play a few songs that weren't too complicated. If I had to rate myself on the violin, I would say I'm about a five or six at the moment.

It depends on whether or not you’ve played an instrument with strings before.
