right now, they are about a centimeter above the fingerboard ( at the part which is closest to the bridge). My violin teacher suggested taking it in somewher, but she said that shaving the bridge might not be the answer since it could make the sound dull. HOwever, i think it might be easier to play if the string were closer.Should i alter it? What is your elevation?

My violin was made in belgium, so its has avery round shape.
