No one is ever too old to live their dreams!
If you’re serious about playing an instrument, then no age is too old.
No way! When I saw this question, I thought u would be like 40 or something. No, you are only nineteen. No, you are never too old for music. Besides, nineteen is still pretty young. (I’m 15, yeah yeah, but I still think nineteen is young) Now get out there! There’s a violin out there with your name on it!
at nineteen, the only thing you’re too old for is diapers. you have plenty of time to master the violin. just do it. all it takes is time and desire. lots of desire.
You’re never to old to do anything, neither to late, neither to …… whatever. The music history is immaterial, just the will and the love will do.
Peace.
the mind is the force and may the force be with you.It is never too late.
no one is ever too old for anything. i’m 51 and the age of computers and the internet came along when i was in my forties. i am now quite proficient. i graduated college in 2007 at the age of 49. i just heard about a 93 year old woman who graduated college. i know you don’t think so, but 19 is YOUNG. so for your dreams no matter what your age because age is completely irrelevant.
Go ahead and give it a shot. You have musical talent. You also might consider other string instruments. guitar, fiddle, are just two for example. The reason that I mention the other two is when you make a mistake they are a little more forgiving instruments. Hey see you at Carnegie Hall. Best of Luck Bob
no one is too old to learn but you have to be little serious about it and you just have to come over the feeling which provoke you to ask this question
Nope.Youre never too old to learn anything. Considering you have a musical background is a big plus. As a matter of fact, i have observed that adults that take music lessons do even better than children because they have more understanding and passion.
I myself had been self-learning a few instruments for the past couple of years and i have had praises over my fast progression.
GO FOR IT!!! Jimmy hendrix was 16 when he started playing the guitar, and he ended up being one of the best. You’re only 3 years older than that, and since you have a music history, it will be easier. Don’t be discouraged if sounds off for a few months/years, at one point, it will just come. Good luck!
your never to old to learn to play any instrument. i just started the violin 3 weeks ago and im 14. i know that’s a difference but most people start when they are 9 or ten. its probably good that you’ve had some musical education before hand because the violin is very challenging. i also play the bassoon and some piano and it has helped me play the violin, just with notes and stuff. i think it is great that you want to get involved!
never too old ^-^
As a teacher of music that teaches many adults I can only say that no you are not too old. If you can find a teacher that is experienced in teaching older people (young adults) go ahead and enjoy. The reason I say this is that adults learn different than children and the experienced teacher is used to this so there is little frustration when you do not get it the first time. Just do not be afraid to ask questions and try. Have fun and practise.
Ask yourself one question: am I dead? (Are *you* dead, not me. I’m alive.)
If the answer is yes, then you are probably too old to learn the violin.
If the answer is no, then it’s not too late.
of course not!
it’s really easy taking up a second instrument if you can play another. i’ve learnt violin for 8yrs (im 13) and then i took up the flute for school band and better than most of the people there
it should be really easy for you
good luck
i don’t think so
if you have the will, there is a way
and 19 isn’t that old yet :)
It’s never too late to start.
I wonder why you never began violin lessons since you have wanted to play since you were a child?
Well anyway, just stick to it. There are going to be times of pure joy, and there are going to be times of frustration.
You’ve just got to stick to it if you truly want to be good. Don’t let this become like piano lessons part 2 if you know what I mean.
