I’ve been playing piano for about a year and have passed the grade 1 exam with merit. I can read music well, and have progressed at a fast rate on the piano (I only had one 45 minute lesson a week for about 30 weeks). I am interested in starting up another instrument and after some research have narrowed it down to either the violin and the cello. Which, in your opinion, would be easier to learn, and would be more complementary to the piano?
