Go to a local music store that sells instruments. Many of the stores have information people on-site who will give you some lessons. You might also contact a local university or symphony and see if anyone there gives lessons. If you are younger, some schools offer beginning classes.

Violin is not an instrument that can be self-taught. You need to learn proper technique and bowing.
