Lessons for Violin

I’ve read extensively about playing the violin and its immense difficulty, but other sources tell me that it’s no cakewalk, but it’s within reach.

I played in middle school, but only because the school subsidized it. Now I’m able to afford private lessons and my own violin, but just how challenging is the instrument? I play some guitar and, again, I have played violin before, but abandoned it once high school came.
