im 18 btw. i tried learning guitar by myself but i eventually gave up. now im planning to take violin lessons since im very interested in it. i also consider learning piano.

Hi, I’ve thought about learning the violin for quite some time and was wondering what companies or brands would you recommend when it comes to someone like me who’s just starting out?

I don’t want to go super cheap but I also don’t want to break the bank. Spending less than $1,000 is what I’m aiming for. Also, what has been your experience with online retailers? I’ve always preferred to actually play the instruments I’ve purchased in the past but there aren’t many orchestra retailers nearby my area (I play guitar & piano).

So far, I’ve come across several different price ranges and it seems that most of them are within the $99-$600 price range. Once again, I appreciate your advice on this and look forward to your reply. Take care.
