I want to Learn how to play the harp but I don’t know where to begin?
I learned how to play the violin when I was young (7-9years old) but I stopped.
I have never really been good at understanding how to read music, I had a music unit in college and couldn’t really grasp it.
I am now 22 and I really want to learn how to play an instrument, I have an interest in strings such as the violin, cello and harp but I want to know a few things..
1. Am I too old to learn? I know the rule is that it is best to learn when you are young but have I missed out now and is it too late to learn and become good at it?
2. Is it advised to learn music before you play or can you learn as you learn how to play the harp?
3. I don’t have a huge budget so how can I learn that won’t leave me completely out of pocket?
4. How do I choose a teacher?
5. Does anyone know anything about renting harps and buying?
I am based in the UK and I would love to play the pedal harp.
Thanks in advance!

If I were to start learning to play music instruments, where would be a good place to start?
Would it be better to start by learning the basics of reading music/etc, or just start with an instrument(I’m assuming you learn music reading as well, although not as thoroughly in the beginning)? If the latter, which instrument?
