Question by Kas507: How much should a 14 year old charge for tutoring?
I am turning 14 years old in October. I have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0. I have had straight A’s since the fifth grade, and have kept my grades ninety-five percent (95%) and up. Most of my grades in the seventh grade (last year for the 2010-2011 school year) were one hundred percent (100%) and up. I had one 95% and the rest were exactly 100% and up all the way to 121%. I work hard and find time to help my friends here and there with their homework if they don’t understand it.

I’m interested in buying music. If it says “Piano Vocal, sheet music” What does it mean? I just need PIANO sheet music.

Question by labellemere: How much to charge for playing the violin at events?
My mom’s friends and friends of my friends often ask me to play for events (typically funerals, but I do get asked to play at weddings and other times too) Funerals are usually just one or two songs…weddings are 2 to 4 songs, as there is usually music besides my solo violin “act”

This has been happening more and more lately, and when they ask me how much I charge I really don’t know what to say Of course I do it for free for friends, but now more and more people I’ve never met are asking me, and the events are getting further and further away, and I have to go out and buy sheet music sometimes when I can’t work a certain requested song out by ear…so there is starting to be a cost in this for me, with the gas, cost of music and sometimes I need to get a sitter for the kids.

“Santa Rina” that’s the name i belief that says in the label
with the bow & case with Rossin and some extra strings
do you know how much all this would of probably cost him
im just curious but he wont tell me i guess hes scared that ill

When someone is making up a room where instruments will be played, they often forget about all the little necessities that will make life a lot easier. I’ve recently started playing the game “Prototype” — if you’re not familiar with it, Alex Mercer (the protagonist) has been infected with a virus that turns him into a super-powered killing machine, and he’s trying to track down the parties responsible as the military pursues him and an epidemic of the virus turns the residents of Manhattan into monsters.

The game doesn’t keep “score” per se, but it does tally up the amount of property damage you’ve done, the number of enemies you’ve defeated, and so on. And I looked at this readout, after completing about 1/3 of the game, only to notice that my “Civilian Casualties” counter was ALREADY in the triple digits.

How Much Time Should I Practice Each Day? (Piano, Organ And Keyboard))

When you first start to learn a piano, keyboard or organ, you have to be patient, because this is the only time in your playing life that you cant actually play anything, you can only practice. Like your playing ability, your practice should evolve. Therefore, for a beginner I recommend a minimum of half an hour practice a day. Using simple five-finger exercises for both hands and learning to read sheet music, you should be able to play, with both hands, one or two simple pieces of music within a month or less.
