Question by Ian: Would someone tell me what instrument is used in the higher part of this song?

Yes it’s super Mario world. I just want to know what instrument it really is. I asked a friend to tell me what it is. He said, “It’s a violin”. Then my brother butted in and said, “Your wrong. It’s a Cello.” and then it turned into an argument. What a stupid thing to fight over!!! It’s just a musical instrument!!!!! Anyway. So, I can’t rely on them to answer me. I have to ask someone who wont fight over stupid stuff. The other reason I ask you guys is because, to be frank, I have been wanting to use this instrument in a song I am making for a flash game I am developing, because it sounds real nice, but of course, I have no idea what it is. I think it is possibly a Synth String or something like that. I believe it is a string instrument of some kind but not really sure. So, any help is appreciated. Thank you.
