I keep being told that the violin is one of the instruments you need to start with when you’re still little, otherwise, you won’t be able to learn to play it that well. Is this true? Am I too old to start?

The only instrument I can play is the piano, and even that was self taught so I never learned to play it well or to read sheet music.

I’d like to learn to play the ukulele. I already play violin. What does learning ukulele involve? Does it require sheet music like a violin? My brother plays a guitar and he does not use sheet music. I’m not sure what he DOES use, though.

Also, I’d like to spend about $150 on an instrument. Can I get a quality ukulele for this price? I don’t want a piece of junk.

I am just starting out but Key of the Twilight was a big influence to me to start learning and I would in debt to who ever finds it.
