Anyone got any lead to Hungarian Gypsy folk music for the violin?
I’m after some different violin music folk music. I’ve got plenty of celtic stuff. Not looking for classical at all.
Hungarian Gyspy is one of the styles I’m after. Any other suggestions would be great.

In written violin music, how often do you have to play two notes simultaneously? Do you ever play 3?
I was wondering if written violin music only required the player to play one note at a time or if there are regular times when you play 2? I’m supposing you can only play 2 notes at a time max because I don’t believe you can touch more than 2 strings at a time with the bow. Is this correct and how often do you play 2 strings at a time?

violin lessons at the haverhill music centre?
i was considering taking violin lessons there because their lessons price were much cheaper. 20-25 dollars for each half hour.
have anyone ever been taught there?
is it a good idea?
Is there any way to prepare for beginning violin lessons?
I’m hopefully beginning violin lessons at school soon, probably in two to eight weeks time. I’m fifteen and can read music, fluently on the treble clef but not so well on the bass clef. I am a self taught piano player but am roughly grade two or three standard, and am just beginning guitar. I’m just wondering if there is anything I can do to prepare myself before hand? For example, looking at violin sheet music, practicing guitar for the fingering, anything like that?
Any help would be much appreciated.
